Proceedings

The proceedings of this conference will be published in the open on-line journal Proceedings of Science (PoS).

Previous editions of NIC at POS:

  • Cairns - Australia (2012)
  • Heidelberg - Germany (2010)
  • Mackinac Island - USA (2008)
  • CERN - Switzerland (2006)

PoS is open to all readers free of charge and the fees for publication are kept low on a not-for-profit basis. Peer-reviewing will be organised by the LOC and referees will by selected from within the LOC, the IAC, and the  conference participants. The conference web page can handle all the submissions and the anonymous refereeing procedure.

Contributions to NIC-XIII will be published in the proceedings, after being accepted by the NIC-XIII editorial board. The editorial board is composed of the members of the NIC-XIII Local Organizing Committee, who will supervise the refereeing process. Members of the International Advisory Board and other participants to NIC-XIII will be asked to act as referees for these papers.

The proceedings will only be accessible over the PoS web site, no printed copy will be distributed.

Submission:

Deadline: Submission via the PoS website will be opened after the end of the conference. Contributions to the proceedings must be submitted by October 31, 2014.

Suggested page limit: 4-6 pages for contributed talks and posters, 4-8 pages for invited talks
Format and Templates: Contributions can be submitted only in pdf format via web upload from the PoS web page. To prepare the pdf file you can use either LaTeX or MS Word. In either cases you must use the templates provided in the .zip archive, which you can directly download here. The paper format should be A4.

Once the conference web interface is set up authors are assigned a personal userID and password for uploading their contribution on the PoS web page, and a contribution code. Please use this number in any correspondence with the PoS Editorial Office and the chairman in charge of the electronic publication of the PoS Conference Proceedings. This ID number is the one that will be used by anyone wishing to cite your contribution. To submit a contribution, please connect to your author page for the conference in question and click on the button "submit" next to your contribution code.

All the details on submission of contributions, formatting, etc. are posted on the PoS website (at the link "for authors").
